Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces. The platform has recommended to check their listings and adjust the sizing manually when needed, causing user dissatisfaction. Size Classification Updates Previously, the sizes had both numerical and alphabetical indicators, for instance S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter and a range such as S/UK 8-10. With some products, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Shopper Stories One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. Another user, from Glasgow, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as size 20–22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she explained. Required Changes A different user, located in England, stated she felt frustrated by the change as she had to manually change the sizing for "all her products". "Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial following partial earnings loss," she explained.
